A Brief Win-Vent Company History

Win-Vent Architectural Windows has been a leading manufacturer of commercial and heavy commercial grade aluminum architectural windows since 1974. The current ownership, Extrusions, Inc., was founded in Louisville, Kentucky in the late fifties by Joseph A. Ida. Extrusions was relocated to Fort Scott, Kansas in 1962 and began production with eight employees and 20,000 square feet of space. Extrusions purchased control of Win-Vent in 1994. Since that time, Win-Vent has endeavored to continue a reputation for quality windows at competitive prices and excellent delivery.

Today, Extrusions, Inc. along with Win-Vent, covers over 160,000 square feet and employs approximately 165 employees and is still managed by the Ida family.

Along with heavy commercial and architectural grade aluminum windows, Extrusions is a full-service aluminum extruder, with its services including anodizing, powder coat painting (Polyester and Fluoropolymer), CNC machining, and general fabrication services all under the same roof.
